We first saw Katheryn Winnick on the TV Show; Vikings. Needless to say, we fell in love with her right away!
Born in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, Winnick is of Ukrainian descent. Being a descendant of Ukrainian, she spoke it until around aged eight. She started learning English at that time (most likely due to her being entered into primary school) and started training in martial arts at the age of seven. She obtained her first Black Belt at the ripe old age of 13 and by the age of 21, had opened three Taekwondo schools. She taught Taekwondo and self-defense to actors while completing her degree in Kinesiology at York University, Toronto.
While she has appeared in many TV shows and movies, her five seasons as Lagertha, Viking shield-maiden and Queen on The History Channel’s popular show; Vikings
Winnick is a naturalized American citizen and at aged 44 (December 17, 1977) has no spouse or children. There’s something super sexy knowing your girlfriend can kick your ass any time she wants!
