‘Walking Dead’ Season 2 Expanded Premiere and Split Season
America can't get enough Zombie bashing!
AMC has announced an expanded 90-minute premiere episode for their popular series Walking Dead. The Season 2 premiere airs October 16th on AMC at 9pm EST. Taking a cue from most of the other popular cable shows, the season will be split into two halves. The first seven episodes will air over consecutive weeks with a 2 month break afterwards. The second half of the season will begin to air on February 12th.
Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on the hit show has stated that season 2 will be more emotionally gripping that before. "I think the second season is going to be even more emotionally charged and dig even deeper into these survivors handling surviving. Why them? Where do they go? What do they do now," he said. "The CDC was their big hope and that's gone so the future is bleak, but humans also have a strong survival instinct."
