Hardy first made a splash in 2001's acclaimed HBO mini-series Band of Brothers. He went on to make a name for himself in Hollywood with leading roles in Black Hawk Down and Inception. Hardy will also be starring in the much anticipated finale to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, as the super-enhanced criminal Bane.
Hardy prides himself on the brutal punishment he took in preparation for his latest movie, Warrior, a bare-knuckled look at the world of cage fighting.
