Real Life Superhero ‘Phoenix Jones’ Arrested in Seattle
This is a prime time to make a Kick Ass joke, but we're going to hold back...for now. Apparently, the city of Seattle has superheros. Their masked crime fighter who goes by the name "Phoenix Jones" has fought crime all over the city but his vigilante style may have caught up with him.
Phoenix Jones, real name Benjamin Francis, was arrested Sunday on an assault charge for allegedly pepper spraying a group of people that he claims were fighting. Seattle police claims that the group of people were actually dancing.
Detective Mark Jamieson, a Seattle Police Department officer said
“In this particular case, he perceived that this group was fighting and when we contacted them, they said they weren’t fighting. Unfortunately, he used force. He committed a crime, an assault against these individuals. That’s against the law.”
Jones, who is a husband and father of two, is a self-proclaimed superhero who roams the streets of Seattle late night claiming to protect it's citizens. We can't really put our finger on this one folks. We can't say if this is badass or dumb ass. You make the call.
