Patriots Release Player After He Shaves Team Logo Into His Head
What could be more embarrassing than cutting your team's logo into the back of your head? How about getting cut from that same team on the eve of the Super Bowl. That's just what happened to New England Patriots wide receiver Tiquan Underwood yesterday. Just 24 hours away from Super Bowl XLVI, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick released Underwood in favor of placing another defensive lineman on the roster to battle the New York Giants offensive line. Although the move was quite callous, Underwood took to his Twitter account to wish the Patriots luck on the field tonight:
Even though Underwood will not be lacing his cleats up tonight, if the Patriots pull off a win, he will be sure to receive a Super Bowl ring as well.
