Ochocinco Takes Hard Hit, Reimburses Linebacker
Football season is back! I admit I haven't watched ESPN since the Mavericks won the NBA title back in June but it's time to get things back into full swing. What better way to start of other than a hard, helmet-splitting hit by Tampa Bay's Mason Foster on New England's Chad Ocochinco on Thursday night.
The play happened with 10:04 left in the first quarter, and the Patriots at their own 39-yard line. Chad Ochocinco ran an inside route, got his arms up to catch the ball from Brady … and was completely knocked off his block by Bucs rookie linebacker Mason Foster.
The NFL soon fined Foster for his hit and the Bucs went on to lose 31-14 to the Pats. However, Ochocinco took to Twitter to congratulate Foster on the hit and offer to pay any fine he receives.
Although a very honorable deed by Chad, the NFL doesn't allow players to reimburse each other for fines.
