Rio Carnival

Beautiful women, exotic beaches, great weather, beautiful women, lush jungles, rich culture.....did I mention the women?

Brazil is one of the top locations to visit to many Americans and there are many reasons you can use as motivation to journey south of the equator. Brazil is the largest country in South America, home of over 190 million people. It is the largest, and only, Portuguese speaking country in the world.

Brazil has a wide array of natural abundance, from sandy beaches to thick jungles. This is the home of the Amazon Rain Forest and many sandy beaches along the Atlantic ocean coast line. Arguably, the most well known city in Brazil is Rio De Janeiro. It is home to 11.5 million people of many different cultures.

Rio is a city like none other. When visiting, choice of clothing takes a 'less is more' approach. Dress comfortably and casually. You may find all types of exotic cuisine or journey over to a juice bar for freshly squeezed mango &  papaya fruit juice.

When etiquette is concerned, body contact is essential much like you may great a close friend in the States. Men great each other with a firm handshake and pat on the back. Women great women and men with two light kisses on the cheek. Traveling around the city is much like what you may be accustomed to if you're from a large city. Taxis are affordable and in abundance but beware - they are fast drivers and rarely stop for red lights.

As entertainment is concerned, Rio's nightlife is robust. We have all seen the exploits of the Rio Carnival which is a world famous festival held before yearly. It's also considered the biggest carnival in the world with over 2 million people per day on the streets. Brazil boast one of the most elite soccer teams in the world for their international teams and produce some of the worlds top players. Brazil is also the origin of many martial arts styles, most notably Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jutsu.
