Miami Freeze, Dallas Evens Series
I can’t begin to describe how great Game 4 of the NBA Finals was last night. For the past number of years, we have seen a number of lackluster and predicatable NBA Finals. This year seems different. Dallas squeezed out another come-from-behind victory, defeating the Miami Heat 86-83. To add to the loss, Dirk Nowitzki was critical in the winning effort while playing with an injured finger and a 101 degree tempeture – scoring 10 of his 21 points in the 4th quarter.
At times, the Heat did look invincible. Several times in the game, they would surge ahead only to have the Mavericks chop down their lead little by little. The Mavericks scored when it counted, pulling off clutch shots in the final few minutes. It was indeed an exciting game to tie the series heading into Thursdays next showdown in American Airlines Arena.
Two questions....where was Lebron James? Why is Dwayne Wade taking criticism for the loss after his amazing performance?
He was almost non-existent on the floor as D.Wade began to take over as a one man team late in the 4th. Lebron has never consistently taken over a crucial playoff game in the vein of greats like Bird, Jordan and Magic. This was almost painful to see as I want Lebron to shine and become the stuff made of legend. You can only prove that in the Finals. Hopefully King James will step it up to avoid a 3-2 count on the series.
