Fisker Automotive Rolls Out The Karma
After debuting three years ago, Fisker Automotive has officially rolled out six more of their all-electric Karma vehicles. After experiencing some manufacturing delays over the years, the Karma is debuting this summer with a sexy ad campaign.
“This is an exciting day in the history of Fisker Automotive. The Fisker dream is becoming a reality,” said Henrik Fisker, CEO, co-founder and executive of design. “These first production cars in the USA show that you can produce an environmentally conscious car that does not sacrifice passion, style or performance.”
The six cars are now being dispersed across the country to appear in various shows. Two of the cars are making their way cross-country in the Pure Driving Passion North American Retailer Roadshow. The cars will visit 44 cities over the next three months. The road show will allow nearly 3,000 people to test drive the new sports car.
However, these Karmas are not for sale. They're part of a road show program that a few lucky Americans will get to test drive, appearing at various auto shows in 44 cities across the states. Apparently it's part of a nationwide, large-city promotion to boost public interest in Fisker.
“We are redefining luxury for the modern sports car buyer, and it has been extremely motivational for the Global HQ staff here in Anaheim to see both the first Fisker Karmas and the [delivery] truck for the Retailer Roadshow,” said Fisker. “It is a testament to all the hard work that they have put into the project over the past few years.”
According to their CEO Henrik Fisker, the company's goal is "to show that you can produce an environmentally conscious car that does not sacrifice passion, style or performance". Good news. We've been waiting to hear that for years.
