First Glimpse of The Batwing from ‘The Dark Knight Rises’
Christopher Nolan has done a great job in creating his own Batman franchise that is unique from the horrible caped crusader films of the 90's. Most of that is due to him not using the same characters and concepts from the previous features, including use of Batman's full vehicular arsenal. Now, in the upcoming final installation of the Batman movies, we get finally get a glimpse of the famed Batwing.
The crew broke out the Batwing for filming in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend and I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed. It looks quite large and in similar fashion to the tumbler version of the Batmobile seen in the previous two movies.
In the video above, you can see the Batwing glide along under the oft-filmed 6th Street Viaduct downtown. The Dark Knight Rises has been filming in downtown L.A. for the past several weeks, and there's a plethora leaked footage on the web. The movie hits screens in summer 2012.
