Derrick Rose Inks a $250 Million Deal with Adidas
If you're a basketball fan, 2011 was the year of the Rose -- Derrick Rose that is. The explosive point guard led his Chicago Bulls into the playoffs as the number one seed, won the coveted league MVP award and sports the best basketball shoe on the market bearing his name. D.Rose is starting off the new year just how he finished in 2011 -- winning. Calling it a "lifetime" deal, Derrick Rose and Adidas announced a $250 million dollar contract that would keep the phenom in three stripes for the next ten years. The move seems to rival Nike's Kobe Bryant domination in China along with the myriad of LeBron James sneakers that have flooded the market in recent weeks. However, this colossal move makes D.Rose the highest paid shoe endorser in the league.
