Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
My first experience with Call of Duty was when the original was released in 2003 during my stint in the U.S. Army. I had a cheap Dell laptop and I found myself playing a war simulation in my downtime IN a war zone. Ironic? Back around that time, the Medal of Honor franchise was dominating the oversaturated first person WW2 scene but little did we know, things were about to change. I admit the first time I played Call of Duty, I was blown away by the level of detail and life-like features tailored into the game. Flash forward to a few years later, I picked up a copy of the first in Modern Warfare series, Call of Duty 4. The level of detail far surpassed my expectations and the game was amazing. However, by then the video game community had become so competitive that I could not survive more than 30 seconds playing on XBOX Live.
Now we enter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and this aims to be a blockbuster. The twist in this installment's storyline is that the Russians are attacking the eastern seaboard of America. Yes, you heard right, urban warfare in New York City. This aims to be another great sequel just off the heels of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
