Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3
The only auto maker to offer a race car for every category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin is set to release the V12 Vantage GT3 for the 2012 season. The newest Aston Martin racer has just entered testing and is based on it's production counterpart -- including a bevy of upgrades. More aggressive exterior design, hood vents and and an upgraded drive train compliment the Vantage GT3. A 6.0-liter V-12 engine in tandem with a Xtrac six-speed semi-automatic gearbox, a carbon fiber driveshaft, race-spec ABS and traction control, and total output of about 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque are also packaged. It has already been tested for 1,000 kilometers by factory driver David Turner, as it is soon to be used in the FIA GT3 championships, the Blancpain Endurance Series, and the VLN Nürburgring series.
