Apple iPhone 4S is Upon Us, Rejoice
Okay, I know what you're thinking. Our beloved Apple kind of screwed us over this time. In a very anti-climatic press conference, we will all soon have the iPhone 4S at our disposal. It's not the much anticipated iPhone 5, but anything coming from Apple is a top notch product.
The iPhone 4S includes the iPad's A5 CPU dual core processor and a dual core GPU. In simpler terms, the 4S runs up to 7 times faster than the iPhone 4 when it comes to graphics and executing tasks. The beefed up processor does not kill your battery apparently. Apple promises 8 hours of talk time, 14 hours of 2G talk time and 6 hours of 3G browsing with 9 hours of Wi-Fi browsing.
The biggest new feature is the natural language voice control. The iPhone 4S contains Siri, the "intelligent assistant" feature that enables new ways to interact with your phone through voice communication. Hold down the home button and speak commands into the phone like "meeting at 2pm" and the phone will talk back saying it has scheduled a meeting set for 2pm.
As a side note, I have to defend Apple. The iPhone is the best smart phone on the market — hands down. I can't imagine what can be actually improved on the iPhone 4 model. Outside of a larger screen and slimmer case, I'm not surprised Apple held back on an iPhone 5 introduction.
